Guardianship Law
Posted on Tue 6 July 2010The Victorian Law Reform Commission reviewed and reported on the desirability of changes to the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986.
The purpose of the review is to ensure that guardianship and administration law in Victoria is responsive to the needs of people with an impaired decision making capacity, and advances, promotes and protects the rights of people with an impaired decision making capacity.
VALS wrote a submission in July 2010 (see attachment below) in response to the review.
The Final Report by the Victorian Law Reform Commission on Guardianship (see attachment below) was released to the public in April 2012.
