On the 1 June 2011, VALS together with Blake Dawson and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) hoseted a Reconciliation Week Event. VALS CEO, Wayne Muir, delivered a speech on the relationship between reconciliation and self-determination.
