Client Service Officer: Verna Eade

I am from Balranald NSW an hour from Swan Hill. I am a Muthi Muthi descendent on my mother and grandmother’s side and I am a Wamba Wamba descendent on my Grandfather’s side which falls within Swan Hill. I own a farm 10 minutes out of Swan Hill in Tyntynder South where I live with my husband and son. I breed Quarter Horses, have sheep and the usual cats, dog and birds.

I love working on country and for my community. Swan Hill is a rural city and our community is pretty tight, we have a large number of Aboriginal people living in or around the surrounding district of Swan Hill.

At VALS I meet with new and old clients in relation to their court matters, help them with preparation prior to appearing in court and also after court to see how they are. VALS’ solicitor travels to our community to represent our clients in court and during this process I work with the clients and the solicitor arranging appointments so the client has time to meet and discuss their matters prior to going to court.*
